o Install a leaf filter at the base of gutter downspout to prevent leaves & debris getting clogged.
o Dig a minimum 1' trench at the base of your gutter downspout for the new pipe to lay.
o Choose from a perforated French-drain or a solid PVC system depending on your project.
o Install your choice of pipe connected to the leaf filter.
o Bury the pipe in gravel and landscape fabric to prevent underground clogs.
French Drain Installation
French drain systems are a great option for relieving & diverting water pressure away from your property, while also drastically improving the soil quality. For homes with landscape sloped to carry water towards your foundation, a French drain will help protect your foundation from absorbing all of that built up pressure by carrying it away through a channel of underground pipes buried underground and surrounding in landscape fabric to prevent clogs. This method is also commonly used for yards that see a considerable amount of pooling with poor foundation.
